The Latin root of the word integrate is integrare, which means “to make whole.” Integrating is the engine that moves us through the reckoning, the rumble, and the revolution, and the goal of each of these processes is to make ourselves whole.

ABOUT KATIE

(she/her)

We are so often searching for our “old selves” or to be back to who we used to be that we fight integrating some of the experiences that are more challenging or less desirable. However, without doing it, we are unable to reach the goals we have and feel as though we are living more balanced and authentic lives. Throughout my own personal journey, coupled with my professional experiences and training, I have come to embrace this thought and process of integration to be able to move forward. This is so apparent in our journeys of fertility, and adjusting to the constant change we experience as parents, or shifting our life expectations without children. I assist clients in identifying the areas of life that are working well, in order to enhance other areas and begin to make changes to improve situations. By utilizing mindfulness strategies and challenging distorted thinking patterns, clients become more at peace and satisfied in life. We all have challenges in life and having a person whose only vested interest is in you can be infinitely helpful when figuring it all out. My clients are the driving force in therapy and it is their plan that is most important.
